An environmental portrait is a portrait of a person with a background or objects that describe them. For instance, a fisherman might be on a dock with several fish around him and boats in the background. The extra objects add to what's already said about the person by their body/ what they are wearing.
The picture above is an example of an environmental portrait. The woman is obviously into cars, as there's a car piece sitting in front of her. She also probably paints cars since she is in a garage with a car paint gun in her hand.Candid, posed, formal, couple, environmental, sporting, children and group portraits are the different types of portraits.
Candid portraits are considered to be pictures of things like cafes and street signs. They can include a subject that is either aware of the picture being taken or unaware.
Posed portraits are like modeling pictures, where a subject is told to pose in different ways.
Formal portraits are normally planned, and the subjects mood, location, and clothes can even be decided on by the photographer.
Couple portraits are either of two people with a strong connection, or two staged actors portraying a strong connection.

Sporting portraits are like the team pictures we get. They involve an athlete with their uniform on or different accessories that show the sport.
Children portraits are portraits of younger kids.
Group portraits are portraits of a big or small group of people.

if i was taking a enviromental portrait it would be me standing by some art work some animation drawings on one side and a skecth near by me
If I were to have an environmental portrait of myself, I would probably be sitting in a cafe drinking coffee. My friends know that coffee is an essential part of my existence, and also know that I spend a lot of time going out for coffee. At least once a week I sit in a coffeeshop reading a book or meet friends before a show and talk over coffee.
If I were to take an environmental portrait of Zoe, she would be on a golf course, probably posing with a club and a tee. Zoe loves playing golf, and also plays on the school team, so it's a really appropriate setting for her. She also said she would have to be smiling!
I would take a picture of myself in a tree with the wind blowing through my hair. It would be a fairly darker picture.
If i had to take a picture of arthur i would sit him on a chair, make him put his chin on his hand, and have a serious face. It wouldn't be that good though.
If I were to have an environmental portrait taken of myself I'd take it at Steamboat rock/banks lake in Eastern Washington during the summer, a place where I've spent most of my summers since I was born. I'd probably have it taken out on the lake since all I do is wakeboard, inner tube, and jet ski. I'd probably be either on a boat with my wakeboard or on a jetski with a friend.
If I were to take a environmental portrait of Jessica th would be at the mall with Zoe shopping. They'd probably have a victoria's secret bag, an abercrombie bag and a hollister bag. And of course they'd look cute. :)
If there were an environmental portrait of myself, the background might be a golf course and I would be listening to music and drinking a vitamin water. The photo would focus on me, but show the golf course in the background.
If I were taking an environmental portrait of Chelsea, her's would be in a cafe reading and drinking coffee. A sunny day outside with a smile on her face. The photo would have an angle to it and show the Cafe in the background.
It would have to be on stage with a microphone because I love to sing. I would have to be performing a song while this picture is being taken. There could be an audience in the background since I perform for an audience. There would be lights because the main subject in photo is me and that is what professional singers do is have the spotlight on them. There could be dancers and a set behind me too.
I would put him in a football environment with football gear like the helmet, pads, a uniform, and a football. He would be on a football field with the goal posts in the background. The scoreboard can be in the background too. I would also set the scoreboard to him being on the losing team. Just kidding, Mr. Hiller. I would most likely set the score up as his team beating the other team.
If I were to take a portrait of myself then I would probably be On the water in my uncles boat up at Baker Lake getting ready to go wakeboarding with the mountains in the background. Since I love wakeboarding.
If I were to take one of Jensynne she would be somewhere on a baseball field or jumping off the dock at her house. If I took one of Kecia then It would be her somewhere random in some random costume. Maybe Food Pavilion in her fairy costume running around in a shopping cart?
If I were to take an environmental portrait it would be me pitching. Softball is my favorite sport and its away for me to calm my self when I get mad. Since pitching allows me to throw the ball as hard as I can in away that isn't destructive!!
If I were going to take a picture of the person to my left who is Myca it would be her chasing her little sister around all over the place trying to get her to stay still for 1 min.
If I were taking an environmental portrait of myself, it would probably be in a gym on a basketball court. I would be standing in the gym, with a basketball in my hand. I would be wearing a basketball uniform and basketball shoes.
If I were taking an environmental portrait of Sydney, I would take the photo in her room,with her lying on the bed reading a magazine and her talking on her cell phone. She would just be relaxing. She would be wearing a pair of sweatpants, a t-shirt, and a pair of socks.
In my environmental portrait I would have shopping bags in my hands. The background setting would probably be in the city where there are malls or boutiques. It would be sunny with the exception of a few white clouds. I would probably just be wearing a casual outfit to shop in. I would do this because I like to shop.
Because Megan's love of soccer I would take an environmental portrait of Megan on the soccer field. It would be dark. She would be wearing her soccer jersey (cleats etc.) Her hair would be somewhat messy from the game, and of course her team would have won

In my background would be swords because the swords tell what is it that I like generally p.p.l can say that i am in favor of the sword better than a gun.

If I were to take an environmental portrait of myself it would be me in the middle of playing soccer on a blistering hot day on a turf field while I was in the middle of striking the soccer ball.
ME: If i was to get my portrait taken i would have to say that it would most likly be up in the mountains with tons of snow around me and me strapped into my snowboard heading down the mountain in all my gear!!

Mine would be in a library; stacks of books everywhere, sitting in a comfy chair; with my fedora on, with an open book, sketch pad, and pencil.
I think that if i was taking a self portrait of myself i would be on stage in a band singing, wile im pulling my girlfriend on stage
